Autograph Letter Signed, to his son, Ned, at Charterhouse, “glad to see you tomorrow , if you can get away”. 1 page 7 x 4 inches, with the address leaf (hinge where formerly mounted). 8 March 1839. G.R.Gleig (1796-1888) served in the Peninsular War and wrote The Subaltern (1825) and other works. He became chaplain-general of the army in 1844.
