Autograph Letter Signed ‘W.H.Barbados’, as Bishop of Barbados, to the Gentlemen of the Vestries of St. John’s & St. Mark’s, about the clergyman Mr. Luckock taking up the “arduous and important charge” of those parishes, discussing his duties, and other ecclesiastical matters. 2½ pages 9 x 7 inches, tears at folds repaired, in good condition. Bishop’s Court [Barbados], 15 October 1832. The Rt Rev William Hart Coleridge (1789 – 1849) was the first Bishop of Barbados from 1824 until 1842. He was a nephew of Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
