Autograph Letter Signed ‘Sam.W.Baker’, while preparing for his travels in Cyprus, to Messrs Silber & Co., ordering “a small handy folding table for tent”, to be sent on the S.S.Fulmar to Baker in Cyprus, and to communicate this to Baker’s Pall Mall agents who will consign all Baker’s things to an agent in Lanarca. 3 pp. 6 x 4 inches, in good condition. With Silber’s receipt stamp and annotated in pencil: ‘Sent this day with other goods, 28/11/78’. 162 New Bond Street [28 November 1878]. Sir Samuel White Baker (1821-93), explorer in Africa.
