Autograph Letter Signed, as Governor of Bermuda, to “My dear Lewis”, announcing the imminent publication of his book With The Indians In France, giving his opinions on the poor treatment of the Indian Army Corps in France during the late War, and “I could no longer stand the jibes levelled individually at us all. General Sir James Willcocks, GCB, GCMG, KCSI, DSO (1857 – 1926) spent most of his career in India and Africa and held high command during the First World War. His correspondent is Major-General Harold Victor Lewis (1887-1945).
