Samuel Warren (1807-77) was the author of Ten Thousand a Year (1841) and Now and Then (1847). ‘I will also send you another autograph, if it would suit your purpose – viz. the last paragraph of my last work Now and Then – a very solemn one, one which may bear reflecting upon.’
