Autograph Letter Signed ‘L.Twining’, to Miss Whitehead, Secretary of the Pioneer Club, suggesting travel arrangements for Miss Whitehead’s lecture in this “very peculiar place ..narrow and bigotted to a degree” [Tunbridge Wells], discussing necessary reforms, suggesting “the greatest care & prudence” to avoid upsetting the Guardians. 4 pp. 7 x 4 inches, in good condition.
