Autograph Receipt, signed ‘Abr: Raimbach’, for £47:5;0 received from Messrs Moon, Boys & Graves, “being the half subscription for two dozen and a half of proofs of ‘Distraining for Rent’. 3 x 8 inches, minor tears. Treasury stamp. London, 6 March 1828. Abraham Raimbach (1776-1843), line engraver, undertook the production of large prints of pictures by Sir David Wilkie (1785-1841), such as Distraining For Rent.
