W.Manby’, to Charles Manby, the civil engineer, asking him to enquire from Marshal Soult whether he was able to present G.W.Manby’s memorial to the King of the French, and whether there are any hopes of the King agreeing to National Humane society “for the saving of Sailors”, as Manby will be seeing Members of Parliament about this subject. 2 pp. 7 x 4 inches, with the address leaf, in good condition.
