Autograph Letter Signed ‘H.Mackenzie’, to James MacInnes, George Square, sending papers which were omitted “by an Accident”, suggesting a meeting. 1 page 10 x 8 inches, torn in three places at seal opening, some paper adhering where formerly mounted. Tax Office, 12 April 1813. Henry Mackenzie (1745-1831) wrote the influential novel ‘The Man of Feeling’ in 1771.
