Autograph Letter Signed, to Mr. Rowcliffe, sharing his “hopes of the advent of the Home Grown Loaf”, together with Lockwood’s unsigned cartoon on the subject, entitled ‘The defeat of the Professor’. 2 pp, letter, 7 x 4 inches, fine, with the separate cartoon (neatly laid down) which accompanied it. Scarborough, 31 August 1894. Sir Frank Lockwood (1846 – 97) was Liberal M.P. for York 1885 – 97, and a leading barrister.
