Autograph Letter Signed, to Henry Howard, Secretary at the Royal Academy, sending the full descriptions of three of Landseer’s pictures due for exhibition: The Temptation of Andrew Marvell; De Montfort, Act V, Scene IV; The Hermit. 3 pp. 9 x 7 inches, remains of guard. 8 Southampton Street, 6 April 1841. Charles Landseer (1799-1879), historical painter, brother of Edwin Landseer. In 1851 he became Keeper of the Royal Academy.
