Autograph Letter Signed ‘A. De Morgan’, addressed “My dear Sir”, saying he has found the European Review “and found that what I wanted was not there”. A good one page example, 7 x 4 inches, with the integral blank leaf. 41 Chalcot Villas, Adelaide Road, 22 August 1861. Augustus De Morgan (1806-71), mathematician and logician. He formulated De Morgan’s laws and introduced the term mathematical induction, making its idea rigorous. “I enclose a note made in the reading room the other day.”
