Undated. Allan Cunningham (1784-1842), Scottish poet and man of letters. ‘Anna’ is the song of a sailor remembering his sweetheart during adventures on the high seas “from Hebride to Havanna”. In 1825 Cunningham published four volumes of The Songs of Scotland, Ancient and Modern.
