A charming Autograph Letter Signed ‘Henry Woods’, to Mrs. Herman Hart, describing the tussle at the Venice Post Office to retrieve the parcel containing a summer waistcoat she has kindly sent him, and announcing the end of the Carnival, which “only interferes at the end. My models are utterly useless on Sundays and Mondays”. 3 pp. 7 x 4 inches, in good condition. 583 San Vio, Venice, 23 February 1908. Henry Woods (1846-1921), artist. Woods first went to Venice in 1876 on the recommendation of his lifelong friend, Luke Fildes. Most of his exhibited paintings are of Venetian scenes.
