Autograph Letter Signed, to Mrs. Enys, enclosing a ticket, hoping she can partake “of so acceptable a thing as a Cup of Tea after the Vatican.” 1 page 5 x 8 inches, minor stains. Undated. Shakspere Wood (1827-1886), sculptor, delivered lectures on the art and antiquities of Rome. One his Lectures delivered to the British Archaeological Society of Rome (1869) was called The Vatican Museum of Sculpture, which might help to explain this note.
