Original Admiralty Commission, signed ‘William R’ by the King upper left, appointing Thomas Browne Gray to be First Lieutenant in the Royal Marines. Countersigned by two Lords of the Admiralty, Sir Samuel John Brooke Pechell and the Hon. M.F.Fitzhardinge Berkeley. Also signed by John Barrow, Secretary to the Admiralty. Vellum 9 x 12 inches, folds, in good clean condition. Given at Our Court at Windsor, 1 October 1833. An uncommon Royal Marines commission signed by William IV (reigned 1830-1837).
