Autograph Letter Signed ‘R.Westall’, to Martin Colnaghi, clarifying Westall’s account, asking for deductions made from the selling prices, asking in particular for an account of income from the “sale of the print of Miss Fanny Ayton”. 1 page 9 x 7 inches, in good condition, with the address leaf. Norfolk Place, 25 November 1825. “There was an additional print of the Hannibal, sent to you in a Frame, which I beg to have returned by the bearer.” A good letter by Richard Westall (1765-1836), historical painter, illustrator of portraits, historical and literary subjects,known for his portraits of Byron. Fanny Ayton (1806 – after 1833) was an English soprano known for her operatic performances in London in the late 1820s.
