Autograph Letter Signed, to Edward Trimmer, looking forward to a visit by “the President and Vice Presidents” [to see the bust of the late Sir William Lawrence for the vestibule of the College, according to a note by the recipient]. A good one page example 7 x 4 inches, with the recipient’s note on the integral blank leaf. Eccleston Street South, Pimlico, 30 October 1867. Henry Weekes (1807-1877), sculptor. His works include the first bust of Queen Victoria after her accession, a monument to Percy Bysshe Shelley and Mary Shelley, statues for the Martyrs’ Memorial in Oxford, and the Manufactures group of the Albert Memorial in London.
