Autograph Letter Signed, thanking his correspondent for a portrait. 1 page 7 x 4½ inches, in good condition. 31 Lower Brook Street, 31 May 1826. Pelham Warren (1778-1835), physician. He had one of the largest practices in London, despite being recalled in the DNB as “cold and abrupt”. “The likeness is sufficient to recall the original & though it wants something of the stamp of character which was remarkable in the countenance, which it was intended to convey, it is still satisfactory & I receive it with great pleasure.”
