Valeska Bolgiani (born Müller, also Valeska Voigtel-Bolgiani (1830-1876), German writer. She published her works under the pseudonym Arthur Stahl . Bolgiani was the only daughter of the Prussian staff officer Friedrich Müller and spent her youth in Westphalia. In Magdeburg she married the lawyer and MP Albert Voigtel in 1854, whom she regularly accompanied to Berlin during parliamentary meetings. From 1863 Bolgiani wrote novels and short stories. As a widow, she retired to Italy in 1868, where she lived in her villa on Isola Bella in Lake Maggiore and translated her works into Italian.
