Molesworth’s letter of yesterday & entirely approves of Mr. Hinks being appointed to the office of Governor of Barbadoes.” 1 page 7 x 4 inches, in good clean condition, upper left corner neatly repaired, right margin slightly shaved. Sir William Molesworth, (1810-1855), radical British politician, who served in the coalition cabinet of The Earl of Aberdeen from 1853 until his death in 1855 as First Commissioner of Works and then Colonial Secretary. Sir Francis Hincks, (1807 –1885), Canadian politician. He was the Co-Premier of the Province of Canada (1851-1854), British Governor of Barbados (1856-1862) and Canadian Minister of Finance (1869-1873).
