Autograph Letter Signed, with a facing page of detailed notes, possibly comparative heights of mountains. In German, untranslated but mentioning “panoramen”. 3 pp. 9 x 5 inches, a few faint spots only, in good condition. Provenance: Stargardt, Sale 679, 2004. St. Gallen, 29 September 1865. Iwan Tschudi (1816–1887), alpinist, was the author of a guide-book to Switzerland, which appeared in 1875 under the name of Schweizerführer.
