Autograph Letter Signed, to R.Gilbert, explaining his delay in supplying copy for his Analecta [the second volume of Analecta Theologica, published 1834], which was as much a source of vexation to himself as to Cadell; he would not have undertaken it had he realised ‘the immense labour’ it entailed. 1 page 4to, with integral address leaf.
