Autograph Memorandum Signed ‘F.Stroobant’, providing biographical details, a list of three paintings (two priced), probably for inclusion in a catalogue or directory. In French. 8 x 5 inches, in good condition, on paper embossed F.S. Bruxelles, 12 November 1855. François Stroobant (1819 –1916), Belgian painter and lithographer. Stroobant’s subjects were mainly landscapes and architecture. He travelled extensively through the Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Hungary, exhibiting in the galleries of the Belgian towns Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels.
