Autograph Correspondence Card Signed ‘E.H.Sieveking’, about historical research. 2 sides of a card 3 x 4 inches, fine. 17 Manchester Square, 11 April 1892. Sir Edward Henry Sieveking (1816-1904), physician. In 1858, in connection with his interest in the nervous system, he invented an aesthesiometer for testing sensation of the skin. He produced manuals on ventilation (1846), on training institutions for nurses and workhouses (1849), on pathological anatomy with C. Handfeld Jones (1854), on epilepsy (1858), on laryngoscopy (1862), and on life assurance (1873 and 1882).
