Autograph Letter Signed, to Mr. John Norton, Bookseller in Bristol, promoting Russel’s “Mono-dramatic Entertainment”, hoping to perform in Chepstow, etc. 3 pp. 9 x 7 inches, in good condition, address panel, Abergavenny postmark. Abergavenny, 13 June 1834. “My performance does not require any scenery whatever, not a nail to driven into a wall or any thing of the kind, so that no injury to the room is to be apprehended.” A favourable review of Mr. Russel’s entertainment (at the Strand Theatre, London) appeared in The Ladies’ Penny Gazette for 1832.
