Autograph Letter Signed, stating her terms, and reducing the fee to 20 guineas, adding that “On the 23d I am engaged with the Sacred Harmonic Society in London, for the Messiah”. An attractive one page example 7 x 4½ inches. Dublin, 26 November 1859. Hermine Rudersdorff (1822-1882), German soprano, sang in Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise (Liepzig 1840), and first visited London in 1854. She settled in Boston in the 1870s.
