Autograph Letter Signed ‘Val Prinsep’, to “Dear Wolfersham”, about Prinsep’s resignation from a lawn tennis club. 2 pp. 7 x 4 inches, fine. 1 Holland Park Road, 8 January 1885. Valentine Cameron Prinsep (1838–1904), artist and writer. He wrote a lively account of his Indian travels, ‘Imperial India: an Artist’s Journals’ (1879). Later Prinsep wrote two novels: Virginie: a Tale of one Hundred Years Ago (1890) and The Story of Abibal the Tsourian (1893).
