Autograph Letter, in the third person (”Eizak Pitman to Miss J.N.Earle”), to a pupil about her shorthand “Ekserseises”, making arrangements for their meeting, and telling her to “Bring your Shorthand Kopi Buk”. 3 pp. 7 x 4½ inches, fine. Hazelwood, Warminster Road, Bath, 25 April 1882. Sir Isaac Pitman (1813 – 1897) developed the most widely used system of shorthand, known now as Pitman shorthand.
