Autograph Letter Signed, discussing his Romsey drawings, explaining that some are required for publication, but agreeing to provide one drawing to suit his correspondent’s purpose. 4 pp. 7 x 4½ inches, some light toning, generally good. Hambleton Hotel, Thirsk, 8 June 1845. John Louis Petit (1801-1868), artist known for his architectural subjects and publications. “The figure is from a sketch I made merely by the eye without any measurement; I should think an artist used to such subjects might easily put it into good drawing & preserve the character of the period.”
