A lengthy and interesting Autograph Letter Signed, with medical content, discussing his correspondent’s “2d plate …I never imagined that it bore any reference ot the subject of Femoral Hernia”, explaining how the mistake originated, with a long medical discussion of Hernia. 4 pp. 9 x 7 inches, folds, one filing hole, in good condition. Golden Square, Thursday, undated. Uncommon. John Pearson (1758-1826), house surgeon at the Lock Hospital, medical author. In this letter Pearson mentions drawings left by Mr. Hey. Pearson published a Life of William Hey (2 vols.) in 1822.
