Autograph Letter Signed ‘C.Patmore’, to Mrs. Bishop, recounting his visit to Oxford and Cambridge for “a little series of dinners”, thanking her for “the very flattering notice of St. Bernard”, and referring to “the long periods between my poetical crises – which occur, on an average, once n five years”. 3 pp. 8 x 5 inches, in very good condition, light traces of mounting.
