Description

Original Entire Letter, with contents, from Torrigani in Nuremburg to Filippo and Bartolomeo Corsini in Florence, bearing a good example of a Merchants Guild Mark. 7 x 9 inches, browned, with blemishes along edges. Nuremburg, December 1601. Nuremburg was one the wealthiest of the free German cities, serving as intermediary between Italy, Northern Europe and the East. Its manufactures gave rise to the proverb: Nuremburg’s hand goes through every land.
