Autograph Letter Signed ‘J Mohl’, asking for help in gaining access to Persian manuscripts in the British Museum (having heard that the Museum is closed), discussing the health of colleagues, with mention of the Journal Asiatique. In English. 3 pp. 8 x 5 inches, a few minor blemishes only. Paris, 5 September 1868. Julius von Mohl (1800-1876), German Orientalist. in 1847 he became professor of Persian at the College de France. He served for many years as secretary, and then as president of the Société Asiatique.
