Autograph Letter Signed, to David Roberts, inviting him to join “a few Scotch friends”, expecting Mr. Bennoch “whom if you dont know personally you know from his kindness to poor Kidd”. A good one page example, 7 x 4½ inches. 47 Ebury Street, 29 June 1853. William Calder Marshall (1813-1894), Scottish sculptor. In June 1864, Calder Marshall was commissioned to make an allegorical group representing Agriculture, one of the four representing various “skills” to be installed on the Albert Memorial.
