Autograph Letter Signed, enquiring after a print of a portrait of Lord Clive by Nathaniel Dance A good one page example, 7 x 4 inches, integral blank leaf. 9 December 1857. Baron Carlo Marochetti (1805-1867), sculptor, came to London after the 1848 revolution and produced a number of dramatic statues, such as the equestrian figures of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert (1849, Glasgow) and Richard I (1860, outside the House of Lords). Marochetti created the statue of Lord Clive (1860) in Shrewsbury Market Square.
