Autograph Letter Signed, to ‘Mon cher ami’, indignant at the delay in the appearance of a newspaper review of his latest book, and asking for an explanation. In French. 2 pp. 8 x 5 inches, a few minor marginal tears only, generally in good condition. 13 May 1866. Eugene Manuel (1823-1901), French poet and man of letters, is possibly referring to his Pages Intimes (1866) which received a prize from the Academy.
