Autograph Letter Signed ‘Yours very truly Henry W.Longfellow’, to Mrs. Dorr, accepting an invitation to dinner. 1 page 6½ x 5 inches, neatly inlaid to a mount with an engraved portrait of Longfellow, framed and glazed (fine bevelled wooden frame 13 x 17 inches, which could be removed). Cambridge, 29 March 1867. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), American poet, author of The Song Of Hiawatha. Julia Dorr (1825-1913), American author who published both prose and poetry.
