Autograph Letter Signed ‘Alicia Little’, to Mrs. Dyer, explaining “there is a great deal I must do before starting for Soochow tomorrow week”, so is unable “to go out to tea with you”. 2 pp. 6 x 4 inches, fine. Kalee, Sunday, undated [1890s?]. Alicia Little or Mrs Archibald Little (1845 – 1926), writer and a British campaigner for women’s rights and later against foot binding in China. After Soochow “I believe we go up river, so I shall hope to go to see you when I return to Shai if I can’t manage it this time”.
