Autograph Letter Signed ‘F.Liszt’, with good musical content, to “Chere excellente amie”, saying he has received from Neumeyer & Co. in London the orchestral parts for the two Scottish Rhapsodies by Mackenzie, recommending their performance this winter, suggesting that Mackenzie writes a couple of lines to M.Erkel, the director of the philharmonic concerts in Budapest, who is, in any case, well disposed towards Mackenzie. In French. 2 pp. 8 x 5 inches, in good clean condition, minor blemishes only. Budapest, 26 January 1881. Franz Liszt (1811-86), Hungarian composer and pianist. Alexander Mackenzie (1847-1935), Scottish composer, spent much time in company with Liszt in the 1880s.
