Two Autograph Letters Signed, to Mr. R.Howden in London, about the arrival of “stores” at Christ Church, their installation in the Cathedral, and discussing “the plan for an Air Dispenser to warm the Bodleian Library”. 2½ pages 9 x 7 inches, with the integral address leaves, postmarks, central filing holes, other blemishes. Christ Church Oxford, 17 January and 23 February 1821. Richard Laurence (1760–1838) was an English Hebraist and Anglican churchman. He was made Regius Professor of Hebrew and canon of Christ Church, Oxford, in 1814, and Archbishop of Cashel, Ireland, in 1822.
