Autograph Letter Signed ‘Edgar Jepson’, to W.Colles, the literary agent, permitting him to state (in negotiations) that Jepson is receiving five guineas for English serial rights of short stories “and at any rate I should not care to take less for The Infernal Machine”. 1 page 9 x 7 inches, in good condition. 23 Bath Road, Bedford Park [received 21 April 1909]. Edgar Alfred Jepson (1863-1938), English writer of detective fiction, sometimes under the name ‘R. Edison Page’. He also wrote supernatural and fantasy stories. “But I must have the American publication fixed up simultaneous.”
