Autograph Letter Signed ‘W.Jenner’, to Dr Godson, explaining that he is just off to Windsor Castle, asking Godson to telegraph the Castle to confirm some railway times for their meeting. 2 pp. 7 x 4 inches, fine. 63 Brook Street, undated. Sir William Jenner, 1st Baronet (1815-1898), doctor, discovered the distinction between typhus and typhoid. in 1862 Jenner was appointed Physician in Ordinary, to Queen Victoria, and in 1863 Physician in Ordinary to the Prince of Wales; he attended both the Prince Consort and the Prince of Wales in their attacks of typhoid fever.
