Letter Signed ‘W.H.Rickards’ as Political Agent in Bhopal, to Brigadier Parke, Commanding 2nd Brigade, Rajpootana Field Force, Camp via Neemuch, requesting a payment, “being hire of torch-bearers from Bhopal to Hoshungabai”. 1 page 12 x 8 inches, one filing hole, fine. Bhopal Agency, Sehore, 29 November 1858. Sehore had played a significant part in the Indian Mutiny, and was briefly free of British rule, but the mutiny was crushed there by Sir Hugh Rose with many reprisals.
