HUNT, Leigh. 17553

Autograph Letter Signed ‘L.H.’, to Mr. How, Fleet Street, sending a proof, discussing corrections. Three lines on a strip of paper 9 x 3½ inches, blank sections cut away, address on verso, in good condition. With a separate small portrait of Leigh Hunt. Saturday, 24 June, no year given. Leigh Hunt (1784-1859), critic, essayist, poet and writer. “I find I had left behind me yesterday the first part of the proof. I enclose with it the Envoy with the additional lines, & you will see how I have done away with the necessity of numerals. I will be with you on Monday morning; but need not say I shall be glad of the woodcuts meantime, if they arrive. Yours truly, L.H.”
