Autograph Letter Signed ‘Joseph Hume’, to W.D.Fellows, about collections of Hume’s papers, hoping that his papers will go to the British Museum or another public library. 2 pp. 7 x 4 inches, in good condition. Bryanston Square, 1 June 1849. Joseph Hume (1777-1855), radical politician and political philosopher. In 1834 he moved the repeal of the Corn Laws. “My life has been one for others & not for myself & I hope that no one can reproach me with making my public influence in any way promote my personal interest.”
