A fine series of 11 Autograph Letters Signed, 1 Autograph Post Card Signed, and a 2 page fragment of an autograph letter, all to Grant Reid (except 1 to Massingham), about books and sketches, one letter being a long autobiographical account mentioning his works including the illustrations to Rudyard Kipling’s Soldier Tales. 18 pp., with a copy of Phil May’s portrait sketch of Hartrick, sent by Hartrick from the Chelsea Arts Club. The Vicarage, Acton Turville, Chippenham, 1897-1898. Grant Reid was writing an article about Hartrick for a Scottish newspaper. Archibald Standish Hartrick (born Bangalore 1864 –1950) was a Scottish painter known for the quality of his lithographic work.
