Autograph Letter Signed, to Sir John [Lubbock], regretting that bronchitis prevents Gunther from accepting his invitation. A good one page example, traces of corner mounts. 2 Lichfield Road, Kew Gardens, 10 March 1898. Dr. Albert Günther (1830-1914), Anglo-German zoologist, Director of the Zoological Department at the British Museum. He supplied much information on the lower vertebrates to Charles Darwin, who incorporated the data in The Descent of Man. He was the founder and editor of the Record of Zoological Literature.
