Autograph Letter Signed, to “My dear Budd”, needing help with some Sanscrit in the article submitted by Dr. McDonnell, “the leading physician in the North of Ireland”. 3 pp. 7 x 4 inches, traces of former mounting. Temple, 2 April, no year given. Edwin Guest (1800-1880), antiquary. In 1838 he published his exhaustive 2-volume History of English Rhythms. He also wrote a very large number of papers on Roman-British history, which, together with a mass of fresh material for a history of early Britain, were published posthumously under the editorship of Dr Stubbs under the title Origines Celticae (1883).
