Margot Asquith, wife of H.H.Asquith, the Prime Minister, has written at the top of this envelope: “From the King in answer to a farewell letter I wrote at the end of London season 1913, when I was too seedy to go to the 2nd. ball. I had been to the 2 Courts & 1 ball.”
